It’s always great when we secure a podcast interview for our client, especially for Nikon as part of their Holiday Campaign. Une Tasse de Tech, a French-language podcast hosted by tech journalists Alain McKenna and Pascal Forget, interviewed Stéphane Bédard of Nikon Canada to discuss Nikon’s Z series of mirrorless cameras and share a variety of useful tips for capturing holiday memories.      

In addition to mainstream podcast platforms and YouTube, the episode appeared in the podcast section of 18 stations in Cogeco Média’s C23 network, including Rythme 98.3, Planète 99.5 CHRL and CIME 104.9.

Just in time for the holiday season, Nikon announced a powerful full-frame mirrorless camera with a cool retro design. We arranged for renowned tech journalist Marc Saltzman to speak with Nikon Canada product and training manager Chris Ogonek to learn about the Nikon Z f and an ideal camera for all kinds of photographers.

The insightful interview was included on Marc’s Canadian radio show, Tech Talk on Newstalk 1010 CFRB, Newstalk 610 CKTB, Newstalk 800 CJAD, 680 CJOB, 580 CFRA and AM 800 CKLW. It was also featured on Tech It Out, a radio show that is syndicated across the U.S.

It’s always fun to work with Nikon on a wide range of projects, from product pitching, evaluation/seeding program management, launch events and content creation to social media/community management and CONTACT Festival activation. The Nikon Z 50 mirrorless camera launched just in time for the holiday season and StrategicAmpersand educated consumers with a mix of editorial and paid placements in traditional and social media. TV viewers had a chance to win a Z 50 on Breakfast Television Calgary’s 12 Days of Gadget Giveaways. YouTube creator Jess Brooke shared how she uses her Z 50 to produce content. We also partnered with Daily Hive to create an article targeting content creators. Many first-hand reviews of the Z 50 appeared on TV and online, with pieces reaching both technical-minded photographers and consumers alike.

New Nikon Z 7 and Z 6 cameras mirrorless camera systems recently made their debut. Key Canadian media got an early hands-on look at Nikon-hosted events in New York, then in Toronto, Vancouver, Calgary and Montreal. StrategicAmpersand staged a product evaluation program that produced a cascade of positive reviews in Neocamera, The Travelling Boomer, Maarten Heilbron and DP Review, which named the Z 7 its Best High-End Camera of 2018.

Photographer and prolific YouTube personality Maarten Heilbron sat down with Nikon Canada’s Chris Ogonek to talk about what kind of photographer should consider using the new D850 DSLR – and why. It’s a great deep dive for photography enthusiasts, featuring great insights from this acknowledged expert. The video quickly reached 16,000 plays (at the time of this post). StrategicAmpersand also worked with Maarten on his epic review of the D7500 DSLR.
