Cisco Canada and TakingITGlobal partnered with the Toronto District School Board (TDSB) to launch the Connected North program in an urban school for the first time.  Students from the First Nations School of Toronto connected with their peers thousands of kilometres away, using Cisco TelePresence® videoconferencing technology, to learn about Indigenous culture and history. StrategicAmpersand secured several media to attend the launch resulting in coverage from Aboriginal Peoples Television Network (APTN), NOW Magazine and InsideToronto.com.

Celestica Director Touts Innovation in National Post

Canada’s $950-million “superclusters” initiative is intended to help bring local innovations to market. StrategicAmpersand arranged for the Financial Post to explore this complex subject with Irene Sterian, Director of Technology and Innovation at Celestica and CTO for the Next Generation Manufacturing Canada Supercluster. Sterian highlighted Celestica’s success in commercializing technology, citing Celestica customer 7D Surgical as an example. Survey Says: Cybersecurity and Cloud are Top of Mind for Canadian Organizations

Good content and stats make for good PR. StrategicAmpersand recently developed content and assets to promote a survey from CDW Canada, which found intrusion prevention and ransomware are primary concerns for Canadian businesses. Cloud was also high on the list. Fully half of organizations indicated their strategy includes hybrid solutions and moving workloads to the cloud.
